"Tales From The Occult: Body and Soul" is produced by John Chong and Mathew Tang, and is co-directed by three new talented directors, Frank Hui, Daniel Chan and Doris Wong.      The Chairman of the Hong Kong Film Development Council, Dr Wilfred Wong, said, "'Tales From The Occult: Body and Soul' is directed by three new talented directors, and each story features both seasoned and new actors. Through their excellent portrayal of the characters, the actors reveal to the audience the dark side of human nature, which sends chills down the audiences' spines."

He added, "The Hong Kong Film Development Council will continue to promote and support different genres of Hong Kong films, so as to diversify the development of the Hong Kong film industry."

Since 2005, the Government has injected a total of $1.54 billion into the FDF to support a number of film production projects and other film-related projects. Since 2007, the FDF has financed 61 film projects, involving total funding of about $230.59 million. The production budget for "Tales From The Occult: Body and Soul" is around $9.5 million, with government financing amounting to about $3.8 million.
