The FDC led New Generation Directors to visit Singapore and Malaysia

The FDC led a delegation of more than 20 members comprising the new generation directors to visit the government organisations responsible for promoting films in Singapore and Malaysia. The film practitioners of the two places were also invited to join business discussions to exchange views on the developments of film industries in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia and to explore business opportunities. At the same time, the FDC co-organised the “Hong Kong Film Festival 2009 in Kuala Lumpur” with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore. During the festival, a number of Hong Kong films directed by Hong Kong new generation directors were shown. The delegation also attended the press conference of the film festival to enhance the promotional effect.
